In order to permanently improve the quality
of its products, ABCO has developed a
high-performance quality policy which
lead to the ISO 9001-2000 certification
(January 2004) and the HACCP certification
granted by BVQI.
This double certification is the recognition
of ABCO’s quality system efficiency
and maturity. It also shows its will to
adopt a progress approach and to better
meet the clients’ expectations and
requirements.
Production processes are carried out in
conformity with the European hygiene standards
which made it possible to obtain the sanitary
accreditation CE 321 in July 2003 and
hence the expansion of ABCO’s exports
to the European community.
ABCO holds all assets likely to give excellent
products:
The location : the production unit is
at the sea side and close to fishing harbours
(Kélibia, Sidi Daoud) to be easily
provided with extra fresh sardines and
tuna fishes.
The staff : Our workers are aware that
the clients’ satisfaction is extremely
important, they are skilled in the field
of canned foods and transmit their experience
from one generation to another. The workers
are appointed on the basis of their initial
education, their experience and know-how.
They are regularly trained in the field
of hygiene.
A dynamic quality-security system: the
quality-security system is in line with
a continuous improvement approach based
on the PDCA concept (Plan, Do, Check,
Act).
A self-control laboratory: all tests are
carried out in a laboratory which is adequately
equipped to control :
- The freshness of raw materials ( sardine
and tuna fishes)
- The acidity of oil
- The oil’s and finished product’s
pH
- The salinity
- The stability of the finished product
